La Chapelle-Neuve can be explored through a range of different highlights: trails through forest, bocage and wetlands sit alongside activities focused on environmental education and Breton culture. The published route details are useful when planning your stay: they range from a 16 km circular route described as easy to a difficult four-hour tour. There is also an arboretum and the Church of Notre-Dame de Pitié, whose floor plan is described in detail. This lets you tailor your choice of nature, exercise and architectural history to your interests, rather than combining everything into a single outing.

Forest, Habitats and Arboretum
During the 2020–2039 forest management period, the Forêt départementale de Beffou spans the communes of La Chapelle-Neuve, Loguivy-Plougras and Lohuec. A departmental post dated 24 October 2022 describes the Arboretum de Beffou as a collection of trees from around the world; along its two marked paths, there were more than 300 species of trees and shrubs. This offers different perspectives on nature: the circular route description highlights diverse wildlife and plant life as well as different habitats, while the arboretum focuses on trees and shrubs.
Breton Culture and Architectural History
The Centre Forêt-Bocage – Ti ar C’hoadoù in La Chapelle-Neuve is dedicated to environmental education, heritage and Breton culture, and also serves as an accommodation centre. Its activities take place in French and Breton. The Centre welcomes guests year-round for stays, day visits or two-hour visits. These options differ in duration: you can include a single two-hour visit in your plans, as well as a day visit or a stay.
The Church of Notre-Dame de Pitié was built by the lords of Kerméno and Botloy-Koathlek. Its floor plan is in the shape of a Latin cross: the three-bay nave has side aisles, the transept arms are rounded, and the choir is deep. Beneath it is a cloverleaf-shaped crypt. The Croix de Pen ar Butou dates from 1821. Together, the church and cross offer tangible points of reference for exploring local and architectural history alongside nature and outdoor activities.
