Boé offers a variety of reasons to visit: the Maison de Garonne explores the river and its history, while lakes and trails shape the landscape of the Parc Naturel de Passeligne. There is also golf, a metalworking workshop and leisure activities such as escape games and bowling. To plan your visit, choose the themes that interest you most: riverside culture, outdoor activities or specific leisure pursuits.

Maison de Garonne and the riverside trail

The Maison de Garonne is an interpretation centre housed in a former fortified house and 14th-century watchtower. It focuses on the relationship between the Garonne and its people, the history of Boé and the Garonne in the Agen area, and the river’s biodiversity. From February to December, the Maison de Garonne offers temporary exhibitions, educational workshops, nature outings, conferences and other events. For a specific date, it is worth checking the event calendar.

The Maison de Garonne educational trail is two kilometres long. It loops around the site and through Boé village, partly following the Garonne. The site and trail are accessible to people with reduced mobility. Alongside the interpretation centre’s themes, visitors can explore a clearly measured trail and the river as part of the route.

Lakes and trails in the Parc Naturel de Passeligne

The Parc Naturel de Passeligne covers 60 hectares: 30 hectares of land and 30 hectares of water, including the lakes of Passeligne and Pélissier. The park has a total of 14 kilometres of cycling and walking trails. This is a different scale from the individual two-kilometre educational trail: when comparing distances, it is worth distinguishing between a single route and the total length of the park trails. Fishing is permitted at both lakes with the usual fishing licence.

Golf and crafts

Golf du Château d’Allot offers an 18-hole course and practice areas. The golf course is set on the grounds of Château d’Allot, among centuries-old cedars. Its terrain has gentle undulations and runs alongside lakes or the Garonne. These details give a concrete impression of the course layout, in addition to the number of holes and practice areas.

La Maison de l’Art by Willy Labruyère features a metalworking workshop and artworks in the former fortified courtyard of Château Lamothe-Bézat. The workshop accepts commissions for custom-made utility or decorative objects. If you are considering a visit or a commission, check in advance what is currently available.

Escape games, bowling and the canal’s summer season

Privacy Escape offers three scenarios for adults and three for children. Players have 60 minutes for each game to escape the room. Bowling Agen-Boé has 18 bowling lanes, English pool tables, video games and a play area for children aged 2 to 12. The details on scenarios, game duration and age range make it easy to distinguish between these activities.

The Halte Nautique de Boé is located on the Canal latéral à la Garonne and is open for river tourism during the summer season. It is five kilometres from Agen via the voie verte. As this is a seasonal offering, check the opening dates before planning your visit.
