On the banks of the Kiehimäjoki River, in the centre of Paltamo, stands the Eino Leino statue. It was erected to mark the 100th birthday of Eino Leino. Eino Leino Park and the Leppikoski Cycling Route

The Leppikoski Cycling Route starts and ends beside the park's stage, at Eino Leinon tie 1. It is 16 km long. The start and finish are therefore at the same named location; together with the distance, this provides a clear reference point for your own planning.

Local History Museum and the History of the Area

Paltamo's local history museum is housed in a granary built in 1910; its permanent exhibition covers the history of Paltamo. The collection includes artefacts from farming culture, tools used by various trades and local objects. It also features a schoolroom and a Paltamo pub corner.

Eino Leino Park also has a guest harbour and a slipway for tar boats. At the Paltamo Kayaking Center, the Oulujärven Melojat club is responsible for keeping the boat shed clean and tidy, use of the kayaks and maintenance of the club's pier. The harbour and slipway are located in the park; at the Kayaking Center, the focus is on the club's responsibilities relating to kayaks, the boat shed and the pier.
