In the centre of Kutina, the Muzej Moslavine Kutina is housed in a former country estate belonging to the Erdődy family. This connects a specific place in the city with its architectural and cultural history. The Church of St. Mary of the Snows is also a notable cultural landmark: it is a highlight of 18th-century sacred architecture. On the Kutina side of Moslavačka gora, Bela Crkva adds a historical perspective. The Pauline monastery is considered the oldest of its kind in present-day Croatia and was founded in the second half of the 13th century.

Educational trails with different time requirements

If you want to spend time outdoors, you can distinguish between two educational trails by their length and approximate walking time. The Turski-stol educational trail is located in Kutina’s sports and recreation zone. Its forest path is 3 kilometres long and takes about an hour on foot. The trail includes ten interpretation points and an outdoor picnic area. It is intended for walking, Nordic walking, mountain biking or running.

At 7.5 kilometres and around two hours of walking, the Crkveni-jarak educational trail is the longer of the two options. It is rated easy to moderate and is intended for walking or Nordic walking. Its subject matter includes the biodiversity and geodiversity of the Moslavačka forest, as well as the history and archaeology of Moslavačka gora. The trails therefore differ not only in the time required, but also in their listed activities and themes.

Views on the Kutina side of Moslavačka gora

The Vis viewpoint offers views over the lowlands, Lonjsko Polje, Kutina and the surrounding area. Together with the Bela Crkva monastery, it provides two different points of interest for visiting the Kutina side of Moslavačka gora: a viewpoint and a place with a medieval monastic history. Bela Crkva’s historical roots date back to the second half of the 13th century.

Activities in Kutina

For horse-riding activities, OPG Trem in Kutina is one place to contact: it offers recreational riding, riding lessons and guided horseback rides, all by appointment. The Kutina pump track is free for all visitors and has no opening hours; check the condition of the facility before your visit. The Kutina skate park is a separate facility: the 370-square-metre park is located in the city’s Urban Sports Park. As the pump track’s condition and information about the skate park may change, it is advisable to check the latest status before your visit.

Wine and local cuisine

The MoslaVina-Kutina wine festival highlights wines from Moslavina, native Croatian grape varieties and, in particular, Škrlet. The programme described includes tastings, meetings with winemakers, wine education and Moslavina cuisine. Programme items may vary from one edition to another; check the dates and programme before travelling. One speciality associated with Kutina is Šaran na rašljama.

As a regional point of reference, the Moslavina Wine Roads run between Kutina and Popovača. Along the route, you can find wine tastings, local gastronomic specialities and rural accommodation. Check individual providers and their availability before travelling. The city’s cultural attractions, trails and regional wine and food offerings can thus be considered as distinct priorities when choosing a stay in Kutina.
