Eleven natural hot springs, with water temperatures ranging from 34 °C to 37 °C, are part of San Vicente Reserva Termal in Santa Rosa De Cabal. If you plan to make a visit to the pools a fixed part of your itinerary, check the current conditions and offers directly with the operator; both may change.

Hot Springs and Nature

From Santa Rosa De Cabal, the Cisne-Poleka Kasue sector of Parque Nacional Natural Los Nevados can be reached via Vereda Páramo Santa Rosa. Three access routes lead to checkpoints at Cabaña Potosí and Alto de Santa Bárbara. Check the current park access rules before your trip.

San Vicente Reserva Termal also offers an ecological trail through the Bosque de Niebla. The trail’s nature themes include birds and tapir tracks among the trees. This means two distinct highlights sit side by side within the reserva: the hot springs, with their range of temperatures, and a trail focused on the cloud forest. Check the trail access conditions with the operator in advance.

Different points of reference can help you choose between the nature offerings: at San Vicente, these are the eleven natural pools and their temperature range; in the park sector, they are the vereda, access routes and checkpoints. One option can be assessed by its hot springs, the other by its access and the park rules to check in advance.

Calypso Park and Mundo Mágico Calypso Park offer themed attractions, games for children and rides for families. If you would like to include this option in your trip, check current operating information before your visit.

City History and Architecture

The Santa Rosa De Cabal railway station was inaugurated in 1925 and was built in the Republican architectural style. Escuela Simón Bolívar was inaugurated in 1930, is municipal cultural heritage, and preserves features of traditional architecture. It continues to serve the municipality’s residents as an institute for arts and culture; if you plan to visit the school, check its current use beforehand.

The Santa Rosa De Cabal market square was inaugurated in 1944 and today houses cafés and grain stores. The three inauguration years place these sites in chronological order; at the same time, their points of interest range from architecture and a municipal cultural role to the current use of a market hall.

Coffee and Chorizo santarrosano

Ruta de los Sentidos features experiences related to the coffee production process at Café Don Julio and the making of Chorizo santarrosano. Ask about current participation options before making the route a fixed part of your itinerary. Chorizo santarrosano is made by hand in Santa Rosa De Cabal and can be eaten boiled, fried or grilled. This offers two culinary perspectives side by side: the route focuses on production processes, while the chorizo also offers a choice of preparation method.
