Community activities also include traditional artisanal gold extraction using a batea, known as Barequeo. Another cultural attraction is a visit to a library-museum. Puerto Alejandria also has a permanent photo exhibition on the exterior walls of houses in the Vereda. Artisanal practice, a library-museum venue and photography displayed on houses thus represent distinct cultural aspects.

A description published on December 11, 2024, presented the Ruta Gastronómica Puerto Alejandría as an initiative for rural tourism and local gastronomy. Its concept included visits to the Vereda, community experiences and tastings of traditional dishes prepared there. The culinary focus thus connects a visit to the Vereda with community activities and locally prepared food.
