In the wider Yingtan area, attractions range from science and Daoist culture to urban greenways and a wetland park. The destinations below are at different scales: some relate to the city as a whole, while others are individual facilities in the surrounding region.
Getting around Yingtan
In the immediate area, bus route K2 connects Yingtan Railway Station with the visitor center for the Longhushan Scenic Area. A transport authority notice dated November 22, 2024, lists this connection. As current transport information may change, check the timetable before setting out.
Science and Daoist culture
In the wider Yingtan area, the “自然之道” exhibition area at the Yingtan Science Museum comprises three themed sections and one special section. 天地万象 explores how the universe and Earth work, 人体健康 focuses on the organs of the human body, and 和谐共生 examines the creation of a green home. The special section 魅力鹰潭 is devoted to Yingtan’s geographical and geomorphological features. The topics thus range from broad aspects of nature to the region’s distinctive geography.
A museum activity report from 2026 describes how students explored the exhibition outside regular classes and learned about scientific principles. They experienced audiovisual effects in the 4D cinema. The Yingtan Museum, also known as the Jiangxi Museum of Daoist Culture, is classified as a National Grade II Museum. Its collection includes more than 10,000 objects, including items related to Jiaoshan culture, cliff tomb culture, Daoist culture and Yingtan’s copper culture. Check the current visitor arrangements before your visit.
A glimpse of the cultural program
Documented cultural offerings in the region also include stage performances: in 2025, the Yingtan Museum held a total of 32 large-scale immersive performances and stage productions. They reached nearly 10,000 teachers, students and residents. This figure describes the 2025 program cycle, not a current event calendar. If performances are important to your travel plans, check the dates for your visit.
Green spaces in the city
At the time of the report, Yingtan’s urban area had 21 comprehensive parks and eight pocket parks. A report dated April 13, 2025, put the share of areas within the service radius of park green spaces at 91.4 percent. Green space accounted for 43.02 percent of the built-up area, and park green space per capita was 24.96 square meters. These figures relate to the urban area and offer a different overview from descriptions of individual parks.
The “一江两岸” riverfront landscape connects 鹰潭公园, 滨江公园, 东湖公园, 梅园公园, 信江公园, 龙潭公园, 虎岭公园 and 石鼓渡公园 within the city. A 25-kilometer greenway links the parks and is suitable for walking. Visitors to the city parks can learn about Daoist traditions, copper culture, railway history and red culture; the parks also illustrate the connection between culture and nature.
Bailuhe Wetland Park
Bailuhe Wetland Park, at the provincial level, is located in Yingtan’s Yuehu District. Its core area covers the Bailuhe River basin within the district. In the south, the park extends from the Fuchen Dam to Tiyuguan Road Bridge in the north; from west to east, it stretches from Chuangjing Jinguiyuan to the banks of the Bailuhe. It is 4.28 kilometers long. The description gives the area clear geographical reference points; check current access arrangements separately before visiting.
