Saint-Hubert offers two distinct ways to plan your trip: heritage and public art, and activities at Parc de la Cité. The heritage trails provide a thematic perspective, while the park brings together various ways to stay active. You can shape your stay around whether you are looking for a cultural connection or want to spend time outdoors being active. Seasonal conditions may affect the park’s offerings. As you plan, you’ll encounter different questions: Which theme interests you, and which activity would you like to include?

Heritage and Public Art

The 2022 municipal heritage information lists five trails in Saint-Hubert where visitors can discover heritage and public art. One of them is a literary trail highlighting writers from Longueuil. If you’d like to plan your visit to the trails using the app, check its current availability. The literary trail offers a clear thematic focus among the five trails.

A single work of art offers a different focus: Since the fall of 2011, Archivolte, a sculpture by Claude Millette, has stood on the Terrasse du 150e near the reception pavilion at Parc de la Cité in Saint-Hubert. It commemorates the 150th anniversary of Saint-Hubert. Unlike the literary trail, Archivolte focuses on a single work and the occasion it commemorates.

Activities at Parc de la Cité

At Parc de la Cité, visitors can walk, cycle, inline skate, snowshoe and cross-country ski. The range includes different ways to stay active; which activity you plan depends in part on seasonal conditions. Check current conditions for your chosen activity before making it the focus of your visit to the park.

The Route verte route La Montée du chemin de Chambly runs alongside Parc de la Cité. A path in the park is connected to Bibliothèque Raymond-Lévesque. The route connections are different: one is a named route alongside the park, while the other is a connection between a park path and the library. This helps distinguish the two points of reference when planning an outing.

Practical Information at the Reception Pavilion

The reception pavilion at Parc de la Cité offers washrooms, first aid, Café de la Cité, free parking, a rental shop and rest areas. It covers an area of 550 square metres. As service details may change, check the latest information before your visit if a particular facility is important to your plans. The pavilion complements the information about routes and activities with specific amenities for your visit to the park.
