The Confederation Trail runs east to west through Miltonvale Park. In spring, summer and fall, it is often used for walking, hiking and cycling. If you would like to include outdoor exercise in your travel plans, you can choose among these activities and take the seasonal timing into account.

Trail and Community Park

Miltonvale Community Park has a walking trail and a tennis court; its address is 413 Sleepy Hollow Road. Residents can use the shelter and ball field, while non-residents can rent both. The park is partially accessible; a ramp provides access to the shelter. Unlike the trail, the tennis court and ball field here complement the walking trail.

Miltonvale Park holds an annual Canada Day celebration. During summer vacation, Miltonvale Community Park offers an open summer program for school-age children from Miltonvale Park.

The Community Garden is intended for Miltonvale Park residents and people in need from the surrounding area. Flowers can be picked by visitors in the shared garden area; as this is seasonal, check before travelling to see whether flower picking is available.

Local building history includes Milton Community Hall: it was built in 1960 to replace the outdated North Milton Hall.

Queens County: History and Seasonal Activities

The wider destination of Queens County offers historic sites and seasonal outdoor activities. Port-la-Joye–Fort Amherst National Historic Site of Canada is recognized for its role from 1720 to 1770 as a seat of government and port of entry for settlers arriving on Prince Edward Island.

The history of rural architecture is also evident in Queens County: St Elizabeth's Anglican Church was built of wood cut on the property in 1848. The Gothic country church stands on a rise overlooking farmland. John Ings Senior House in the community of Pownal in Queens County on Prince Edward Island dates to around 1830 and is among the community's earliest buildings. It offers wide views of farmland and across Pownal Bay.

The Mill in New Glasgow is also part of the historical perspective on Queens County. The large, two-storey building is clad in wood shingles and overlooks the River Clyde. It is valued for its age, its long-standing connection to the history of New Glasgow, and its many uses over the years.

Mark Arendz Provincial Ski Park at Brookvale is in the central part of Queens County. Its activities vary by season: in spring, summer and fall, mountain biking and hiking trails are available from the Nordic Centre; in winter, activities include Nordic and alpine skiing, snowboarding, fat biking, tubing and snowshoeing. The park has 25 km of well-maintained trails with varied terrain, a training park and a roller loop. Check current trail conditions before planning a trip.
