Leamington offers several distinct reasons to visit: art at the Arts Centre, trails through a marsh, a cycling route through town and a monthly market. There’s also a nature option for a side trip in the wider region. Rather than turning these into a fixed itinerary, you can choose the focus of your stay—perhaps exhibitions, outdoor activity, food and browsing, or a trip to Point Pelee National Park.

Art at the Leamington Arts Centre

The Leamington Arts Centre is located in Uptown Leamington and has four exhibition spaces; it presents up to 40 different exhibitions each year. Art can therefore be a focus of your stay in its own right. Admission is always free, and donations are welcome. The centre offers tours to individuals as well as private groups, community groups, schools and clubs; 48 hours’ advance notice is required. Keep this lead time in mind if you’d like to include a tour in your stay.

Marsh trails and a cycling route

Hillman Marsh Conservation Area has five kilometres of trails through the marsh. A closure notice applies to one section of trail; take it into account when planning. The CWAT Waterfront Trail, by contrast, is a cycling route that passes through Leamington. It runs from Cornwall, on the Québec border in the east, to Lighthouse Cove in the west, near the shores of Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. The difference is one of scale: Hillman Marsh brings together trails in a marsh, while the CWAT includes Leamington on a cycling route between two named endpoints.

By the shore and in the wider region

SUNSET® Amphitheatre is in Seacliff Park, near the shore of Lake Erie. You can also include Point Pelee National Park in a trip to the wider Leamington region. There, you can walk the Marsh Boardwalk or take a one-hour round-trip shuttle ride to The Tip. These offer two different options: a visit on foot and a shuttle round trip with a clearly stated duration.

Event and market

The Hillman Marsh Shorebird Celebration is held annually at Hillman Marsh Conservation Area in Leamington; the 2026 edition ran from May 1 to 18. Mill St. Night Market is a monthly market in Leamington featuring street food, handmade goods, vintage clothing and antiques. You can combine food and browsing during your visit. If you’re planning to attend a future edition of the Celebration or visit the market, check the dates. The Celebration is held annually, while Mill St. Night Market returns monthly.
