Igreja Matriz São Pedro Apóstolo is in the center of Gaspar. The municipal government has officially recognized it as intangible cultural heritage of the municipality. The traditional São Pedro festival and performances by Coro Santa Cecília and Banda São Pedro take place at the complex. This combination of cultural heritage, religious festival and music gives the site a different character from the water and cycling options. A Place of Remembrance

The Memorial da Força Expedicionária Brasileira Filhos de Gaspar commemorates the Second World War. It honors citizens of Gaspar who defended values and freedom during the Second World War. The memorial was inaugurated on August 24, 2023, and is located in Praça Getúlio Vargas, in front of Gaspar City Hall. Unlike Igreja Matriz, the memorial focuses on remembering citizens at war, while the church is shaped by its official recognition, festival and performances.
