Rolândia offers several options for planning your trip: a 44-kilometer cycling route, religious and historical landmarks, and a museum with specific visitor information. First consider whether you would like to devote more of your visit to cycling, cultural history, or the museum.

Cycling Route and Getting Your Bearings

The Ciclorrota Rota das Brutas is a 44-kilometer cycling route in the Município Rolândia. The Paraná state government includes it in its route list; conditions along the route may change. If you plan to ride it, check the conditions before setting out. The route is a distinct cycling option for your stay, while current conditions will determine what to expect on the day of your visit.

For orientation, a municipal notice from February 2024 mentions a tourist sign near Lago do San Fernando. The Roland Garden and the sign are connected to the lake via Avenida Presidente Getúlio Vargas. The lake, garden, and avenue therefore provide specific reference points for finding your way around Rolândia.

Religious and Historical Landmarks

The present-day Igreja Matriz Paróquia São José in Rolândia was inaugurated in May 1955. The Templo Budista DokoZan Bushinji followed in October 1960; it belongs to the Soto-shu lineage of Zen Buddhism. The two inauguration dates and distinct religious traditions offer insight into different aspects of local history.

The Estátua Roland stands in Praça Roland and is a slightly smaller replica of the statue in Bremen. It was donated and inaugurated in 1957 to mark Rolândia’s 25th anniversary. The main house of Fazenda Bimini also has a specific building history: it was built from Peroba-Rosa wood in the late 1930s.

Railway heritage includes the former station building and a brick goods shed on the grounds of Rolândia station. Both have been listed since December 2010. The Kartódromo de Rolândia was built in 1969 and is described as one of Brazil’s first kart tracks. These landmarks differ in their histories and connections to the city; together, they offer several ways to plan a culturally focused stay.

Museu de Rolândia: Visiting Hours and Collection

The Museu de Rolândia displays exhibits on Indigenous culture. Its reorganized collection and exhibition rooms are arranged for visitors to explore independently. According to municipal visitor information dated August 18, 2026, individuals and groups can visit the museum Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hours may change. Guided visits require an appointment in advance; these arrangements may also change. If you would like a guided visit, arrange it beforehand.

Coffee Traditions and Oktoberfest

Rolândia is part of the Rota do Café. Launched in 2009, the route aims to revive the coffee-growing tradition and culture of the state of Paraná. Its participating locations and itineraries may change. The Rota do Café offers a thematic look at Paraná’s coffee traditions; it is a distinct travel option from the individual historical sites and the museum visit.

The municipal tourism guide, last updated in 2019, lists Oktoberfest de Rolândia as a traditional German festival held in October at Complexo Esportivo Emilio Gomes. Check the dates and venue for the year of your trip before planning your visit around it. This keeps your plans tied to the specific event date rather than assuming a particular annual schedule.

This way, you can focus your search on the activities that actually suit your planned stay.
