Yvytu: Private Nature Reserve

The Yvytu Private Protected Area (APP) was designated in September 2016 by Decree No. 1185 of the Misiones Ministry of the Environment. This 31-hectare private nature reserve is located in the town of Andresito and preserves restored native flora and fauna. It is considered a place for nature experiences and birdwatching. In the wider destination of Departamento General Manuel Belgrano, Parque Provincial Urugua-í was established on October 5, 1990, by Provincial Law No. 2,794 to protect the ecosystem in the Urugua-í stream watershed and offset the negative impacts of the reservoir downstream. In the same destination, Alto Iguazú is a strategic connection point between Parque Nacional Iguazú and Parque Provincial Yacuy.
