Altos Hornos Zapla was a landmark of Palpalá for many years. The first pig iron was smelted there in 1945. The cooling tower of the former plant is a city landmark and makes its industrial history visible in the cityscape. A huge monument to Christ can also be seen from the highway entrance to Palpalá. Palpalá's sculptures include Escultura del Minero and Plaza de Los Duendes. Cine Teatro Altos Hornos Zapla is another interesting place in the city.
Cultural Attractions and Events

As part of the same program, Museo Héroes de Malvinas offered guided tours, veterans' accounts of the war, and educational games. Museo de la Cultura Andina featured traditional objects and performances of Andean dances. These historical examples show different facets of the city's cultural life, but do not constitute a current events schedule.
Patio Criollo del Arrabio is a folklore festival featuring traditional artistic performances and products from local entrepreneurs. A report from March 2025 mentions several editions. If you would like to include an event in your trip, check the specific date. Santuario Nuestra Señora del Rosario de RĂo Blanco y Paypaya is located in RĂo Blanco, in the Department of Palpalá. There is also a monument to Pachamama at the entrance via RĂo Blanco.
